Sabatier Soft Overmold Handle Line

The Soft Handle Overmold Line started as a replacement line for a very successful Stainless Steel handle line selling in Costco.  The quality as well as the function would have to be replicated in order to compete with current sales, especially for such a high volume order.

The challenge was to take the Sabatier Brand and set it apart from a very saturated market of kitchen tools and gadgets.  The combination of soft TPE with a bulbous handle form allows for a comfortable grip, while using accents of chrome plating to break up the weight of the form. By further focusing on specific textures and materials throughout the line, I was able to create unity between each item and create a line that could be marketed and sold individually as well as a set. 

From concept to production, our biggest obstacle was creating the internal construction for the handle.  Working with our internal engineers, China team engineers, and factory engineers we were able to come up with a method that would work in production for a client as big as Costco.
